I Watched as the World was Cleansed

The clouds had had an epic battle with the sky and emerged victorious. Not surprisingly, the world was huddled into a somewhat teary abode. The mist came and went in wisps, playfully teasing my deep green leaves.

The distorted glow of headlights was the only way to see the soft drizzle that seemed to be part of quite an interesting game of hide and seek;

Tap tap tap it went.

The winds whispered thoughts old and new, letting go of a weight they had carried on their ever-changing backs for decades. The street lights flickered but not threateningly. *chuckles* The bulb actually seemed to wink at me.

The drizzle was edging on towards a heavy rain now. I guess the clouds had their own burdens to let go of. The rain washed everything, cleansing us of our troubles and aches;

Tap tap tap it went.
